it seems we’re out of time but it’s murder to reset my
mind. it pains me to know this is the end, not sure i’ll
see you as a friend.
remember the time that you said our thing was pure
and fantastic, now measures are drastic,
self-preservation.
i don’t know what we’re doing ‘cause fools like us
were born to ruin. last easter tour out with the band
you closed the car door on my hand.
we shovelled the snow and all week i was
perpetually plastered, a walking disaster but we
still made it.
it’s so obvious “abc”, there’s nothing like surrogate
family. i’ll take on oblivion with you next to me and we
won’t be accused of not trying.
now i’m not black and blue, we’ve decimated all
taboos yet still it seems i’m born to lose and you still
play a role in this ongoing show. we’ll rebuild all the
libraries, burn the diaries ‘cause we’ve no fear
anymore.
